November 3 Initial CCW Course OCSD/SD

Service Description

This is an eight-hour course designed to provide with you the education, tools, and skills necessary to carry a concealed weapon as approved by the OCSD. Topics will include firearms safety, pistol and ammo characteristics, defensive pistol skills, drawing from concealment, carry modes, concealment, mindset, responding to an attack and the aftermath, legal considerations, laws, and policies. There will be a live-fire qualification and students must achieve 70%. A written test will be administered after the range, and students will receive a course completion certificate after completing the course. The range is located on Camp Pendleton. are included in the course fees. Completing this course does NOT grant you a CCW license. The final determination is made by the OCSD CCW Unit. -Range fees and targets are included. The range is conveniently located within a 20 min drive from San Clemente and there is no need to drive to the Corona/Chino area. -Includes up to (2) firearm qualifications. Subsequent firearms will incur a $25 charge per firearm. Required equipment: -Pistol (must be registered in CA to you or spouse/domestic partner. -200 rounds of ammunition for your primary gun and 30 rounds for subsequent firearms -Eye and ear protection -Appropriate outside clothing (minimum of pants and closed-toe shoes; no shorts or sandals) -Sunscreen -Water/snacks

Cancellation Policy

Fees are non-refundable but may be applied towards a future course. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
